A pair of celebrity sightings in our commercials today. First up, Farrah Fawcett and plenty of sexual innuendo in a spot for Noxzema shave cream. After that, Connie Stevens in a singing ‘n’ dancing spot for Ace Hardware. Both commercials aired in October of 1976.

We’re celebrating the 40th anniversary of 1978 this year – so, let’s get off to a hearty start with a pair of vintage commercials.
First, a good find for Toys “R” Us featuring the entire Giraffe family dancing across America. The spot aired in November of 1978. Second, a spot for Long John Silver’s restaurant from December of ’78.

You know what we could all use more of right now? That’s right, you guessed it – Josie and the Pussycats!
The tune “Roadrunner” appeared on the Josie and the Pussycats soundtrack album in late 1970 and features Kathleen Dougherty, Patrice Holloway, and Cheryl Ladd. Yes, that Cheryl Ladd.
