Daily 70s Spot time. This weekend I’ve got a pair of fun Mobil spots for you starring comedian (and presidential candidate) Pat Paulsen.
Here’s the first commercial, which takes place in a dry cleaners. Spot aired in November of 1970. Earlier in 1970, the performer appeared in his own series, Pat Paulsen’s Half a Comedy Hour.

Last week, we featured a duck. This week we have a chicken. Or, to be precise, Ethel Merman singing “Chicken Today, Feathers Tomorrow” from the Rankin/Bass special, Rudolf and Frosty’s Christmas in July.

‘Born Free’ TV title, 1974
Born Free originally ran Monday evenings on NBC from September through December, 1974. The one-hour drama, filmed on location in East Africa, was based on the 1966 film of the same name.
Gary Collins and Diana Muldaur star as husband and wife game wardens, George and Joy Adamson. The couple live in Kenya with a lioness called Elsa and spend their days protecting the local wildlife from the dangers of both man and nature.
