I haven’t dipped into the Buried Treasure files in a while, so let me do that now. Here’s a quartet of vintage commercials comprising Ford Pinto, Olympia Beer ( with Teri Garr), Mercury Monarch, and Panasonic TV sets. Roll into the golden goodies below.

Olympia beer commercial featuring a young couple visiting their hometown. The actress appears to be Teri Garr. Spot aired January 1971 (likely produced in 1970).

MERCURY MONARCH COMMERCIAL (1975)

Lincoln-Mercury Monarch car commercial featuring $250 off Limited Edition models. Spot aired in 1975.

PANASONIC TV SET COMMERCIAL (1976)

Panasonic Quintrex II color television set commercial featuring a pirate ship and a nose-biting parrot. Spot aired November 1976.

Got four commercials for you today and every one is a winner. Sit back, hit the clickers, and bask in the warmth of Weebles toy sets (dig that Marina!), La Choy Chow Mein (swinging so American), Squeeze Parkay margarine, and, lastly, the Nestea Plunge.

Music For Monday: Loretta Lynn, ‘You Ain’t Woman Enough’ (1970)

Here’s Loretta Lynn to get our week off to a good start. Lynn can be seen performing “You Ain’t Woman Enough” on The Ed Sullivan Show October 11, 1970.

“You Ain’t Woman Enough” was written by Lynn and hit #2 on Billboard‘s Hot Country singles chart in 1966. The tune originally appeared on an album of the same name in ’66 and later in 1970 on the compilation LP Loretta Lynn Writes ‘Em and Sings ‘Em. Likely the incentive for the performance below.
