A very good back-to-work Monday to all. To accompany our Carole King Billboard ad, here’s the artist performing “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” live in 1972.

King wrote the tune (along with Gerry Goffin and Jerry Wexler) for Aretha Franklin, who had a top 10 hit with it in 1967. King’s version appeared on her incredibly successful Tapestry L.P. in ’71.

Happy Funshine Friday, everyone! On this first Friday of 2015 we travel back to the early 70s with a song from New Zoo Revue.

Here we join Doug and Emmy Jo as they serenade Freddie the Frog with the “Time” song. It’s difficult to date this one, but judging by the fashions on display, I’d guess this is from the first season of the famed children’s show in 1972.
