Another Monday has rolled around again hasn’t it? In that case, we’d better get to rocking. Here’s Chuck Berry performing “Roll Over Beethoven” live on a British soundstage in 1972.
Berry originally released the now classic “Roll Over Beethoven” in 1956 where it hit #29 on the “Hot 100.” The song was famously covered by The Beatles in 1963 and ELO in 1973.

“Stanley – We want to help you do things right!”
Our 1978 weekend continues now with a commercial for Stanley tools and hardware. This one encourages the whole family to pitch in and refurbish the garage. The spot aired in January ’78 and was likely produced in 1977.
Following Stanley, we have a classic E.F. Hutton spot featuring the “When E.F. Hutton talks…” slogan. The commercial aired in October ’78.

“The premiere of ‘Vegas’ – Wednesday!”
Let’s swing back to 1978 this weekend and enjoy a few classic commercials. First, we have a fun ABC Wednesday night promo featuring Eight Is Enough, a Farrah Fawcett guest spot on Charlie’s Angels and the debut of Vegas. The spot aired in September ’78.
In second place, Mario Andretti, winner of the Formula One World Championship that year, does his thing for Goodyear. The spot aired in October ’78.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from the Wilson sisters and Heart. On this edition of Music for M-M-Monday, here’s Heart performing M-M-“Magic Man” on German TV in 1976.
“Magic Man” originally appeared on the band’s debut L.P., Dreamboat Annie. The single released in 1975 in Canada and ’76 in the US. The tune hit the Top 10 on Billboard’s “Hot 100.” Have a bitchin’ Monday.
