When you need quality cassette and 8-track recording tape. (3m Scotch commercial, 1972)
“Whether you’re recording something for kicks or for keeps…”
I’m feeling a bit 1972 this week. Yeah, let’s go with that. Here’s a fine spot for 3M Scotch recording tape featuring some nifty 1970s music. When you need to lay down some happening tunes to 8-Track – Scotch is ready to serve. Roll it!
I’ve programmed in two “computerized” game commercials for us today. Firstly, one for Invicta’s Electronic Mastermind. Second, a space age spot for Fidelity Electronics’ Chess Challenger. The chess game that speaks to you!
Both commercials aired in December of 1979. Press to play.
“Over 30 games”…featuring colored blocks moving in a straight line. (Atari commercial, 1979)
“No other company offers you as many different video game cartridges as Atari.”
A very good Friday to you, Bionic pals! Today, we’ve got a spot for Atari showing of games like; Sky Diver, Football, and Outlaw. The commercial aired in December 1979.
Tune back in tomorrow for a double dose of electronic game spots from ’79. Bleep bleep! Blorp blorp! Awww, I went too much to the right!
And now, a spot for the Sony Betamax recorder featuring a proud father fast-forwarding through a “boring” tennis match. The commercial aired in December of 1979. It’s a shame that VHS won the popularity battle over the Betamax, as Beta offered better quality. Darn those consumers!
