Onto 1973! Here we have a fun commercial for The Equitable insurance company with a parade of bowlers showing off their individual styles. The spot aired in October of 1973 (and I suspect by the clothes and hairstyles, produced a year or two earlier).

Today, it’s 1972 and we have a spot for Colt 45 Malt Liquor on-tap. In this November ’72 commercial, Canadian comedian, Billy Van braves a hockey game.

1971 today and a spot from Chevrolet. Here we find the Chevy and Chevelle wagons with a free luggage rack on offer.
What’s especially cool about this spot is it was filmed in the Burbank, CA lot where The Partridge Family was currently shooting. The commercial aired in November of 1971.

Two spots in the showroom now for Volkswagen. Firstly, we find the Scirocco speeding across the desert (in its second year of production). Second, one for the Rabbit featuring Road & Track magazine accolades. Both commercials aired in May of 1975.
