“Take a look at the people – in ‘People’ this week.”

Here’s a good spot for People magazine that really brings you back to a specific time in the fall of 1977. Robert Blake is the featured cover story (with a shocking tale of broken marriage!) and Cher and Leo Sayer are also found inside.

The commercial aired in September of 1977. Take a look at the People

“Extra care in engineering…it makes a difference.”

On this fine and fantastic Monday, I bring you a fun Plymouth Voyager van commercial that aired in July of 1974.

Pay close attention to the school teacher in this spot. I’m fairly certain it’s Elaine Giftos – known to Seventies TV fans as Bonnie Kleinschmidt, Reuben Kincaid’s girlfriend on The Partidge Family.

“The best surprise – is no surprise.”

I hope everyone in the US and Canada is enjoying a relaxing, extended Labor day weekend. The following Holiday Inn commercial may help calm your nerves during your time off.

The spot aired in November of 1975 and the actor playing the “Surprise!” hotel clerk appears to be James “Big Fig Newton” Harder.

“Perhaps the most comfortable slacks a man can wear.”

Here’s a somewhat silly spot for Levi’s Action Slacks featuring the world’s most uncomfortable man. The commercial aired in November of 1979.
