Here’s a fun, anachronistic spot for Salvo detergent. I’m not sure if the actor here is portraying a nosy neighbor or mother-in-law, but I do know that she’s the bee’s knees. If you can identify her (I recognize her face from sitcoms of the era), please let me know in the comments.

In 1970, many of the commercials appearing on the tube still seemed like they were pulled straight out of the 60s. Heck, this one for Cascade detergent may have even been produced in ’69. I’m not sure, but I can tell you it aired in October of 1970.

Here we have two cheesy and flavorful CBS promos from the fall of 1977. First up, one for the short-lived Logan’s Run TV series starring Gregory Harrison. After that, a spot for Rhoda featuring Judd Hirsch as Rhoda’s romantic interest, Mike. Both commercials aired in November ’77.

During Jaws‘ popularity explosion, Colt 45 produced this spot for their long-running series of commercials featuring comedian, Billy Van. The spot was produced in 1975 and this one aired in January of ’76. Don’t drink the water!?!

Here’s a fun rarity for Santa Antia race track in Southern California. The spot features Ruth Buzzi portraying the frumpy Gladys Ormphby character she made famous on Laugh-In. Fellow Laugh-In cast member, Gary Owens, provides the narration.
The commercial aired in early 1971 and was produced in 1970.
