“The unique strategy game with a hidden force that changes every game.”

Here’s a rather awesome spot starring everyone’s favorite, Dick Van Dyke. The sci fi-styled commercial is for Gabriel Toys’ electronic Touché game. I like how they refer to the in-game AI as the “Force.” The Star Wars phenomenon was in full-effect when this ran.

The spot aired in November of 1978. Have a happy Saturday!

As I haven’t quite got a full month’s worth of winter holiday commercials ready to go, the next few will be “normal” spots. After that, it’ll be all-winter – all the way through December.

The Ford Pinto spot below features a country doctor making his rounds and it aired in November of 1972.

Geez, is it December already? I’d better start rolling out the holiday-related 70s Spots.

Here’s one for JCPenney’s line of holiday fabrics – just right for sewing up a nice Holly Hobby dress. The commercial aired in November of 1972.
