Handsome, debonair, and finicky – it’s Morris the Cat!

“Nutritious foods cats really like.”

Here’s world-renowned feline, Morris the Cat, for 9-Lives cat food. This classic 70s mascot is voiced by actor, John Irwin.

After the 9-Lives spot, we have the introduction of Purina’s human food, Bran Chex. Both commercials aired in May of 1977.

“Remember us? We’re the Brady family.”

To start off the new week, I’ve got a couple of humdingers for you. ABC fall promos for The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family. Both spots aired in November of 1971. Please enjoy, good people. To my, admittedly warped-by-childhood taste, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Loading up the wagon with Tonka toys.

“The average Tonka family owns seven Tonka toys.”

Here’s a find! Tonka toys were a favorite of my much smaller self. They looked great and were built tough. I really adored those toys – especially my ’73 Winnebago.

The spot below aired in November of 1974.
