Another pair of celebrity sightings are on offer today. First, you’ll find Vernee Watson (Welcome Back, Kotter, Carter Country) in a 1975 Hungry Jack biscuits spot.
Second, Doris Roberts (Angie, Everybody Loves Raymond) appears in a funny little spot for Glade air freshener from July of ’75.

Sometimes I have second thoughts about posting old commercials starring folks that turn out to be not-so-perfect human beings. But, the pop history is worth remembering – so on with the show.
Here’s two STP gas treatment spots starring Robert Blake of Baretta fame. The gas station spot aired in November of 1977. The motocross clip in September ’77. And you can take dat to da bank.

A pair of Carnation commercials from May of 1970 lined up today. First, we find Agnes Moorehead (Bewitched) backstage with her Coffee Mate.
Second, good ol’ Dave Madden (The Partridge Family) narrates a Carnation Instant Breakfast spot. Tear into it, dahlings!

Here’s a cozy, quick meal for you. First, mix up a piping hot mug of Swiss Miss Instant Cocoa. The spot aired in January of 1978 and features the Swiss Miss mascot (voiced, I believe, by Sheilah Wells).
After that, pour out a heaping bowl of Post Raisin Bran. The commercial aired in August of ’78.
