“It’s delicious and it brings out the flavor of the ice cream.”
Hey, there! It’s been too long since I’ve posted some fresh vintage commercials. (Can vintage ever actually be “fresh”? That’s a discussion for another day I suppose.)
Here’s four spots from 1973 (or thereabouts) that I think you’ll enjoy. First up, a fun one for Cool Whip that takes place in an ice cream parlor. Following that, view spots for Gaines-Burgers dog food, Chrysler’s Imperial LeBaron, and Robert Hall department stores.
COOL WHIP ‘ICE CREAM PARLOR’ COMMERCIAL (EARLY 1970S)
Cool Whip Non-Dairy Whipped Topping commercial featuring a ‘New York ice cream parlor’ taste-test. Spot aired in the early-to-mid 1970s (best guess 1973-75.)

Gaines-Burgers dog food commercial featuring testimonials in San Francisco. Spot aired September 1973.
’74 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL LEBARON COMMERCIAL (1973)
1974 model Chrysler Imperial LeBaron commercial featuring an eagle. Spot aired October 1973.
