Classic 70s Music Ads: Sky (Doug Fieger, 1970)

Yes, that’s an 18-year-old Doug Fieger of The Knack, front and center with his early band Sky. The young Detroit band released two albums on RCA records and were discovered and produced by Jimmy Miller.

The above ad introducing the group and the Don’t Hold Back LP appeared in the December 5, 1970 issue of Billboard magazine. Let’s have a listen to that album’s single “Goodie Two Shoes.”
