Back in the 70s, those Carvel ice cream commercials looked so cheesy I thought they were locally made! Also loved the woman wearing an apron, praising the goodness of Kellogg’s Pop Tarts–even as a kid I knew those things were just hard lard 🙂
I’m pretty sure those Carvel ads were indeed locally made in NYC.
The actor in the apron is Elaine Giftos. I remember her best as Reuben Kincaid’s girlfriend on ‘The Partridge Family.’
Wow you know your stuff! Very cool about Elaine, she had one of those faces you knew you’ve seen before during the 70s. I could watch 70’s commercials all day 🙂
