“Monday – Lucan finds a lead to his lost parents…but it may be a trap.”
500 70s Spots? That’s more than a few. OK, for Sunday, we’ve got a TV series and a movie spot for you. First up, one for Lucan from December of ’77. Kevin Brophy starred in this tale of a boy raised by wolves. The show lasted a single season.
In second position, a quick :15 second ad for Gregory Peck and Laurence Olivier in The Boys From Brazil. The commercial aired in October of 1978.
Previously on 70s Spots: Daily 70s Spot #497, 498: Ford Mustang & Goodyear (1975, ’76)
“The Boys from Brazil” is one of my guilty-pleasure movies from the 70s. The acting was over-the-top, the plot ludicrous, but it was so well done, great music, cinematography . . . . .
I enjoyed it at age 11 when I saw it in the theater. Not sure I’ve seen it since. Time for a refresh.
