I’m not sure how we managed to go so long without posting an Olivia Newton-John song, but it’s time to sort that out.

Here’s Newton-John performing her first big US hit, “Let Me Be There” on the UK’s Sez Les show in 1973. The song (written by John Rostill) hit #6 on the Billboard “Hot 100.” Elvis Presley also liked performing his version of the song in the 70s.

  1. I have to admit that I had one very serious crush on that young lady back in her country and western days. What’s even more sad, as the video is playing i joined in doing the missing bass vocal. Because of this posting, I now have to go over to that ‘Tube’ site and relive a few more moments from my past. Always good memories to be found here.
