Summer is fast approaching and thoughts turn to warm sun, beach visits and…scary shark movies. Jaws 2 (sequel to 1975’s Jaws) swam into theaters in June of 1978, quickly and successfully chewing up box office records.

Roy Scheider (reluctantly) returned to reprise the role of Amity Island Police Chief Brody. Lorraine Gary and Murray Hamilton also return from the first flick. New actors included; Mark Gruner, Ann Dusenberry and Donna Wilkes. Enjoy the lengthy trailer below that probably gives too much away.

Thanks for this! Jaws 2 is often lumped in with the horrible sequels that followed it, but I think this film is a fine successor to the original. I defended the movie a few years ago here:
