For this edition of Trailer Tuesday, we haul out the bizarre and highly-watchable cult film, Pulp.
Pulp, directed by Mike Hodges and released in 1972, stars Michael Caine as Mickey King. King, a writer of pulp detective novels, travels to Malta to ghostwrite an autobiography of a washed up movie star played by Mickey Rooney. Murder, mayhem and freaky comedy follows in his wake.
Lionel Stander (Hart to Hart), who narrates the original Pulp trailer below, co-stars as Ben Dinuccio. 1940s & 50s film star, Lizabeth Scott portrays Princess Betty Cippola. Pulp would be Scott’s final film. Catch the trailer below.
*Music fans take note: The band Pulp took their name from this film.
