The Perils of Penelope Pitstop, a spin-off of Hanna-Barbera’s Wacky Races cartoon, originally ran from September, 1969 to January of 1970. Just qualifying for 1970s pop culture. The show ran in reruns in the 1970s as well, so I’m laying it on you free of any 60s-era guilt, man.
The Perils of Penelope Pitstop features Janet Waldo as the title heroine. Paul Lynde (uncredited) plays the villain known as The Hooded Claw. The cast includes; Mel Blanc, Don Messick and Paul Winchell. Gary Owens is heard as the narrator. Quite a cast of voice acting talents!
In the intro below, the premise of the 17-episode series is summed up rather well. Have a super fantastic, Elastic Bubbleplastic Funshine Friday – and welcome to August!

In my blog RSS feed, I first read the title of this post as “The Penis of Penelope Pitstop,” which would be a whole different type of post completely!
Yes, it would put a slightly different spin on things.
