To put it simply, for those of us who grew up in the 1970s, The Bad News Bears is comedy gold. I saw the film in the theater at the age of nine and fell in love with this tale of young, baseball playing misfits. The movie also made me a lifelong fan of Walter Matthau who starred as Coach Buttermaker.
The Bad News Bears is engrained in the minds of so many of us that it seems a waste of time to describe it further. Enjoy the trailer below. It spells out the film well (and probably gives away too much).
