“Golden sugar-coating makes my cereal…” “Sweet, sweet, sweet!”
It’s Saturday morning. I see you’ve gotten up early to fix yourself a heaping bowl of cereal and switch on some cartoons.
“Four different gag trophies. One in each specially-marked box…”
Here’s a double-dose of Post cereal fun with Super Sugar Crisp (featuring Sugar Bear voiced by Gerry Matthews) and Honeycomb cereal (with Scott Baio of Happy Days fame). Both spots aired in 1977.

Doesn’t everyone get up on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons and eat some sugar coated bliss? I know I do! Every Saturday morning, you can find me in my Scooby Doo jammies, and from 9am-noon, watching my old 70s faves. I have quite a large collection of Saturday morning cartoons and live action series, and like to sprinkle classic YouTube ads, and Schoolhouse Rock in between for good measure.
Now, that’s the way to do a Saturday morning!
