It’s time to spread on our Daily 70s Spot. Here’s a Chiffon margarine commercial featuring Mother Nature (portrayed by actress Dena Dietrich). Spot aired in December of 1979.

There’s no utterance of the famous “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature” line in this ad. By the late 70s the Chiffon ad execs were probably struggling to keep this long-running series of commercials fresh. (Cue crack of lightning sound effect!)
