Paul McCartney & Wings (or technically, just ‘Wings’) released “Mull of Kintyre” in November of 1977, where it went to #1 in the UK – becoming the first single there to sell over two million copies. Here in the US, the song didn’t even dent the charts.
I’m somewhat proud to say that I was such a Beatle fanatic and music fan, that even at the tender age of 11-years-old, I bought and greatly enjoyed “Mull of Kintyre” when it originally hit the US.
