One on One stars 70s heartthrob Robby Benson as small town basketball champ, Henry Steele, who wins a college scholarship and must learn to survive in the big city of Los Angeles. At the university, Steele falls in love with his tutor, Janet Hays, played by Annette O’Toole.
This charming coming-of-age film was written by Benson and his father, Jerry Segal and directed by Lamont Johnson. I couldn’t scrounge up the theatrical trailer but below we have a nicely representative TV trailer that ran in ’77. Narration is by Michael Bell.
